Hello, this alarm has triggered a number of times over the past 2 days.

If I leave the heatpump off, then turn it back on after the alarm, it works normally for around 45 mins. Defrosts then starts again, then after some minutes the heatpump turns off (compressor and fan). It tries to start again and this happens a number of times and then the alarm triggers. These stops (and eventual alarm) happen when then BP4 high pressure sensor goes over 40 bar, which is inline with what the manual says.

The high pressure switch (63H1) deployed
5 times within 60 minutes or for 60 minutes
continuously.

The heatpump was very icey when I got back from vacation yesterday, I cleaned the ice off the evaporator at the back with some warm water, but when I look through the fan grill at the front, I can see some ice inside. Do you think this is what could be causing it? I am hoping that is the case, as I mentioned earlier, the unit works for around 45 mins well - getting heat, compressor on full etc, which makes me think (hope) its not an internal problem. I will try and open the unit and clear the ice tomorrow.
But any insight or would be greatly appreciated !

Communication error between the heat pump (F2040) and the indoor unit often related to a broken or incorrectly installed communication cable or incorrect settings on the control board.

Just to update here - a technician came round; he think it’s a low coolant issue. He is going to top up on Tuesday so let’s see what happens!
