Hi,

I am observing the following behavior on NIBE FIGHTER 1113 heat pump. What does this indicate?

I get HP / MS Alarm now and then. It goes away after I turn off and turn on the heat pump. The alarm show up randomly sometimes once in 2 months or so and sometimes once in 15 days or so. When the alarm show up the pressure goes down below 1 (in the pressure indicator), the hot water doesn't heat up. Also the room temperature dips some degrees (probably the heating runs directly on electricity without heat pump ??). For sure, this is happening when "Additional heating" in ON (in operating mode button).  I do not remember if this also happened when "Additional heating" in OFF.

What does this indicate? Any problem in the heat pump or any other warning symptoms?

Does your heat pump have a soft start för the compressor, ill start with measuring that its okay, its a common problem. Otherwise ill check the contactor for start

Why do you seem to think this is a MS alarm and not HP?

Anyhow, check the radiator water garbage filter, make sure that any hotwater tank doesn,t have air and check what hot water temperature setting you have.  If set to a temperature try to change it to Auto instead.

Most frequent reason for ms but is it really more common than hp?  Well, I trust your experience, but it is a good idea to make sure that the ms is set to manual reset.  Then next time you get hp/ms you check is you can reset the fault condition by just a power cycle or if you have to press the reset button on the ms.

There is no air in the water tank. The hot water temperature is automatic and it is set for periodically increased hot water temperature.
I am not experienced with NIBE or any other heat pumps. Can the problem be observed on the display? for example by seeing values like VB-fram, VB-r, KB-f, KB-r, ....etc?
