Ämne: Ice all over f2040-8 and making funny noises

Hi everyone!

There is a big build up of ice around the heatpump and its starting to make funny noises.
Can I force the heatpump to go into defrost mode? or another way of manually de-icing?

Stop the machine, and de-ice with warm water.
Drilling a hole (3-5 mm) in the cap of a 1.5 liter bottle lets ju be more precise with the water.
If the build up starts again, you probably have a problem with your machine.

Dont know if its possible to active a de-icing function.

hey thanks for this. I cleaned the ice from around unit. But there is ice inside the unit too, when the fan runs it hits on a bit of ice. Any idea how I can get rid of this?

It should be possible to take away the front piece (a few bolts) and just pick it out.
You might need to melt it with water also, if its stuck on some piping.

great thanks I have cleared some of it away.
Nibe said I can run the fan in menu 4.9.7 but I do not have that menu item, only goes to 4.9.6. Any ideas how I can find the missing menu? it says it should exist in the manual..

Not sure if you can upgrade the firmware/software for it (or for your indoor module), but if you can an upgrade could perhaps add the missing menu.

thanks I tried that but still nothing. Heatpump definitely making a burr'ing sound which wasnt there before.. mmm left it off for a while and the ice is mostly gone.
