Ämne: Bentone BVP300

Hi there everyone,

I have just moved to Sweden and have a Bentone BVP300 Luftväremepump in the cellar, it is conencted to the house central heating.

To start it, i have to use the little switch at the bottom, but after about 30-60 minutes it switches off itself and needs to be started manually again.

The air intake outside is clean and the circulation pump seems to be working properly as all radiators in the house do become slightly warm.

Can anyone me?

The Bentone BVP 300 is a realy old heatpump (like mid 1980 or something )
Bentone stopt making heatpumps when the Enertech group was founded and all heatpumps are now made by CTC.

Now when the history is done lets try to solve your problem.
It can be more than one problem here.
First it sounds like your heatpump can't get rid of the heat it produce.
Do you have any ballvalve on the pipes going to the outdoor unit that looks like the one in this post?

That is a filterball valve and needs to be cleaned on a yearly basis.
If you have one, clean it and see if that helps.

The other problem is far more serious
When starting your heatpump how does the outdoor unit looks like?
Is the ice layer bilding up on the entire surface or just on one side?
If it's only on one side or in spots that may indicate that you outdoor unit is low on gas.
If thats the problem then is better to buy a new system bacause Machines that old use the now forbidden R22 gas and can not be filled (retrofitted?)

Hi LMF,

thank you very much for answering and attempting to me.

My BVP300 does not seem to have a valve anywhere between it and the circulation pump.
It also has no outside unit! Its a big green cupboard with two pipes on top with an approx diameter of 30cm each. These pipes lead outside and seem to be the air intake.

The BVP300 switches off when the thermometer on the pipe, after the circulation pump reads 38 degrees.

I can take pictures this afternoon and will post them here.

Been thinking that the circulation pump might not be fast enough to transport the warm water away from the BVP300???
