The problem is when the application is closed with the Windows funktion (The red Windows X) the current view of trends, graphs and custom forms isn't saved.
If the application is closed with the Close button the current view is saved. At least i think this is the behavior of the application.

Really! I will check it right now. If that is true I'll fix it today. I know there has been lots of trobles with this feature. In first place, I wrote it so that when the main window is painted, then old windows will be opened. Then it complained that something it can't open the windows. I spent some time with it, tested, and made a quick&dirty solution that do not work if the statusbar is somewhere behind the windows' own taskbar. With this newest version I tested once again that opening during main window paint. This time it worked!
But now I will check that closing....

No, that is not true. Information about all old windows will be saved, no matter how you close the program.

But you could check whether the problem is in opening or closing if you know how to use regedit. If you don't know, don't try this!!!!!!

Start regedit. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/TSa/Temp. There should be Windows-key with one or more sub-keys.
Sub-key 0 is for main window all the rest are for child windows. Now start thermometer if there were sub-keys other than 0 you should see previously saved child windows. If you don't the problem is in opening.
Now create couple of child windows. Delete all sub-keys (0, 1, 2...) from registry. Close thermometer. You should see sub-keys 0, 1, 2... again. If you don't, there is something wrong with closing. Anyway, please report it!

I have now test the program on an other pc 500MHz and it work
maybe the 200MHz pc as I use is to slow
I must get an faster pc so I can run the program

Efter uppdatering...

Om jag anger automatskala så kan jag inte ändra temperatur/division.
Om jag tar bort markeringen för automatskala och sparar min och maxvärden så kan jag ändra divisionen igen.

Tror inte att gamla versionen gjorde så.

Jag har startat om datorn och öppnat registereditorn, enbart nyckeln 0 finns under windows.

Även om jag stänger ned fönstren sparas inga fler childkeys.

Har du nåt tips?

Det är bara en ny DLL fil+en exe fil du kan byta ut dem och prova
Jag provade att byta dll en det fungerade som förut men när jag bytte exe filen så började det at krångla

Så jag kör väl vidare på det gammla programmet

There are now few more log lines showing what is going on when opening old windows. If anyone who has troubles with opening old windows and wants to try, do the following:

Go to setup
Set loglevel to 10
Stop thermometer
delete LOG.TXT from installation directory
Start thermometer again
See LOG.TXT, there should be something like this:
03.03.2005 18:11:23 Opening old windows.
03.03.2005 18:11:23 Number of old windows: 3
03.03.2005 18:11:23 Open Window 3, type=3
03.03.2005 18:11:23 Open Window 2, type=2
03.03.2005 18:11:23 Open Window 1, type=1

If not, the program just do not get one particular event and do not go to that procedure. And I must change it again

It looks that i was wrong with my "button" theory.

I also tested to delete the Windows registry values before closing the application usong either Windows "X" or the "X" button. Both times the registry was updated. So it must have been something else that made the windows disapear earlier.

BTW is there a way to get the history data back into Thermomtere from MySQL?

Yes, I have seen them.
Very nice, he uses mySQL for storing data. Therefore it's possible to use rrd tool for creating images.

Uhhuh...

I tried the latest version in win98. Can't get the OnPaint event for mainform, I don't know why 

I changed the damn system so that the image creation timer launches the procedure after 10 seconds from start.
Seems to work also in Win98...

Hej Alla
Nu när det har kommit en ny version så skulle man kanske boota om datorn helt och hållet. ( Format C)
Men hur behåller man sina kalibrerade givare så man slipper att börja om från början.
Kurvorna och ev bitmapbilder ligger ju på annat ställe (det går ju att välja mapp) men var ligger "kalibreringarna".
Jag kan för lite programering för att hitta det själv.

Är det någon som vet ?
