Ämne: Question regarding a connection leak - 3800i ew

Hello, I have a bosh 3800i ew pump an one of the connections has a small leak. Ideally I’d like to reseal it. I however do not know what the pipe connection is responsible for nor how to “isolate” i.e. disable and prepare before resealing it. Do I need to let water out somewhere? Close some valves? What will happen when I loosen it - how much water will drain? I’m attaching the photo.

Please just tighten the nut 1/8 turn, should be a gasket seal - nothing really to inspect.

Hi. That has been tried previously, it’s a l”lazy” fix. I need to reseal the connection If your recommendation to tighten is based on specific reasons i.e. the pump will die if I unscrew the connection or something else - I’d love to hear them of course, otherwise I’d really appreciate with the above questions.

Please turn of the heating appliance, then release the pressure to 0 bar on the gauge on the left top corner, then close all valves you can find, it is not necessary to close the valves, but it can the start up procedure. Then go ahead and reseal. Don't forget that copper gaskets can be really useful and robust.

After repair, please follow manufacturers air bleed procedure before starting the system. There is a chance it is just about bleed air through a safety valve, the one you can easily release the pressure with aswell. This item is not visible on the picture.
