Good news Carl.
As you said it was the evaporator sensor which was at fault.
It was very difficult to get to, not much space to work.
The house is warming up nicely now.
The photograph is of 'Stronsay' where I live, population 360.
2 shops, 2 churches, 1 post office, 1 school, 1 pub.
I live in the house between the 2 white houses.
Well thanks again for all your help in getting my heat pump working, my wife Marilyn also thanks you (xxx)
Regards to you and Sweden. John.

Hi!
It seems like the hot gas sensor is another type.
But I don´t think you have to change this sensor, evaporator and suction gas sensors are the same type.

Hi Carl.
Received today 28 february, 3x '518721' sensors.
Is the 'suction gas' sensor the same as 'hot gas' sensor?
if so I would need to order '418527' sensor.
Please help me out. John.

Hi Carl.
I have ordered 3, '518721' sensors, it will take a few days for Royal Mail to deliver to Orkney. I understand it is quite easy to replace and should have no problems fitting them. I have just taken another reading, 5.9= 8.1, 5.10= 15.6, 5.11=19.4. Do these figures tell you anything?
I shall let you know when sensors arrive and when I intend to fit them.
Till then Carl you have been a true friend and help in this complex of matters, I salute you. John.

Outdoor temp is probably right.
But I'm not shore about the other 2 temperatures.
The fan alarm triggers if suction gas temp minus evaporate temp is lower then 7 degrees.
Maybe you should replace both suction gas and evaporate sensors.  :-\

Hi Carl.
A quick reading shows,
5.9, outdoor temp        9.6
5.10 evaporate temp  18.7
5.11 suction gas temp 24.6
would this point to one or more sensors at fault? and would it be best to replace all 3

Sorry, I was refering to the display out on the 2005.
But of course you can se the temperatures on the VVM300 too.
Look in meny 5.9 (outdoor temp), 5.10 (evaporator temp) and 5.11 (suction gas temp).

The sensors is located out on the 2005, and they should show the same temperatures when the compressor have been resting for a while.

Carl,
Not been able to get 01,02,05 on display screen, I can get 1.0 and up, How would I access the service menu as nothing in book shows how to do it.  Would the sensor be one located on Fighter 2005 or one located on VVM. Would appreciate all help here. Thanks.

Thanks Carl for answering my query so quickly. Yes the fan does rotate and compressor works good but will shutdown some 15 minutes later with 'Fan Alarm'
Yes I am a bit handy and would like to fix this myself, my work is that of a carpenter so come across most problems. Thanks for replying with english it helps!

If the fan is rotating, then it's probably eigther the temp sensor for suction gas or the temp sensor for evaporator that is broken.
You can compere the temperaturens on channal 01, 02 and 05 and see which of them that is different from the others when the compressor have been resting for a while.
If you ar a bit handy you can change them yourself, but you need to order the right sensors from a Nibe service agent.

Hej
Tack
Hi
My name is John and I live in the Orkney Islands of Scotland. Sorry, I do not speak Swedish.
I have a Fan Alarm showing on the VVM 300 with a flashing display and stopped compressor.
Would any of you know the cause of this happening? and how it could be fixed.
Thanks
